q/kd demosTue Jun 12, 2007

This is a demo of my quad/kd-tree.

At the moment, only a linux version for x86-32bit (must support SSE) is available. Feel free to download and tell me about your results! (and please read the README)

By the way, you can grab screenshots by pressing 'D' (unfortunately, I forgot to change the naming of the bitmaps produced, coming from my samp-hack, they are enumerated something like "samp_XXXX.bmp")

edit:
The logs are telling me that some of you from time to time multi-click the download links. Just notice, that if the download does not start directly, just wait a few seconds before clicking again, please! (best regards, seb)

These are the available demos regarding my ray tracer "gladius". More information and images can be found here.

While gladius gprt is not aimed to be a real time ray tracer it provides a fast and robust SAH kd-tree, which makes it possible to trace several frames per second at a complexity of a few thousand objects without global illumination. The main task of the ray tracer will be realism, and the faster the algorithms, the more realistic images can be produced at a low investment of time.

old realtime fluid raytracerWed Sep 27, 2006

An old submission for the coding contest on fluid fx on flipcode.com(rest in peace flipcode, we won't forget you). I scored third (out of four submitters...).

I've decided to write a realtime ray tracer. The scene is hardcoded (thus anchored in the source code) and the program is written in assembly mostly. Heh, the performace is not too fascinating... Comparing my 2002 knowledge to my 2006 one, I knew nothing. Absolutely. But one shouldn't repudiate past.

The download contains the full submission, including the complete source code.
Have a look at the readme files first.

A soon demo of the engine. It demonstrates bumpmapping, the illusion of physically not beeing structures.
